Grocery Shopping
Grocery Shopping is a 3D first-person horror game where you play as a small child in a department store. Collect all the desired objects while avoiding the employees and the parent to win.
The Design challenge was to create an experiential intention through gameplay.
The core pillars of this game were:
The Contrast between Serenity vs. distress and anxiety. And the exploration of childlike imagination

One of the main focuses of the game is giving a safe-space area, where the player could take a second to breath and collect themselves from the outside, emphasized by neutral, calming music compared to the rest of the game.
Designer, 3D modeling, Visual effects, coding, lighting, level design and layout, character animation, documentation.
This game was only done by myself and one other colleague so much of the work was divided between us equally. The initial concept, game loop, core pillars and visual and audio affordances we're conceptualized by me.

Takeaways
One of the most important things I learned during this game-jam, was that focusing on the experiential intention of the game from early stages, helps drive forward the design and create more meaning to design decisions throughout development. And that proper, constant communication with team-members is one of the most important and valuable things to do when developing a game.
